Cutting Breakfast is a educational toys & skill development activity for children. A practical play activity that invites children to explore the product, make choices and learn through trying it out.
What children can explore
- Through use of this product, children can explore observation, exploration, coordination and problem-solving.
- The experience depends on the child’s interests, the way the activity is introduced and the level of adult support; these are opportunities for practice, not guaranteed outcomes.
How to play
- Show the child one simple way to use the product, then allow time for independent exploration.
- Offer a prompt or a new challenge when the child is ready.
Play together
- The Bryto review lists this mainly for individual play.
- An adult or peer can still join briefly to model a step, encourage the child or take turns when suitable.
- Parents can join as play partners.
- Teachers and centres can adapt the activity into short guided sessions or independent play stations.
For parents, teachers and learning centres
- At home, use the activity in a relaxed, child-led way.
- In schools, nurseries and learning centres in Qatar and the Gulf, it can be considered for a supervised learning corner, small-group rotation or guided activity when it matches the class objective and learner needs.
Age and supervision
- Suggested age in the Bryto catalogue: 3 years.
- Choose the activity according to the child’s abilities and supervise use as appropriate.
- Keep the play area organised and store pieces safely after use.
